History

1972	Founded as a one-man-company in Hückeswagen. Corporate purpose ist the production and sales of Press Brake Tools, Folding Tools and Shear Blades.
1985	Change of the Corporate Form to a GmbH (Ltd.) as Schäfer Werkzeugbau GmbH
1986	Purchase of today's factory premises, thus enhancement of the production area.
1994	Start of Laser hardening of press brake tools; this was well received by the customers.
2004	The founder Günter Schäfer sells the company for health reasons to Ulrich Mohrenstecher. Schäfer Werkzeugbau GmbH starts exhibiting at International Trade shows in European and Overseas markets and exopands the Export activities. Launch of the "SCHÄFER TOOLS" Brand.
2005	Start of a Sales organisation in the Middle East
2006	Sales cooperations in India and Turkey
2008	Schäfer Werkzeugbau GmbH exports to 30 countries world-wide.
2009	Expansion of the plant by adding of machinery. Schäfer acquires profile grinding machines, CNC planing machines, milling machines and an induction hardening installation, thus enhances the product range.
